In an attempt to rescue their schizophrenic father, Baig sisters misfortune turns for
the worst when they have to rely on an emergency helpline. ‘It Happens To Us’ explores the failings of Canadian Welfare checks and issues of police violence that comes from it. All through the eyes of an innocent young South Asian daughter of a working class family.
